Norman R. Lillie, 85, formerly of Blooming Valley, and current resident of Crawford County Care Center, died there Wednesday, September 20, 1995 following a period of declining health.
He was born April 19, 1910 in Corry, a son of Dale and Mayme Skiff Lillie. He first married Julia Vanderhoof, he subsequently married Vivian Pierce Williams who died in 1986 and then later married Rosalee Ringer. She survives.
He worked for Shartle and Walker Builders and later retired as an independent carpenter. He had been employed at one time in farming near Geneva and also at the Keystone Ordinance Works.
He attended the First Assembly of God Church, Meadville and was a former member of the Blooming Valley Boro Council.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Arlene Anderson and Helen Popovich, both of Tucson, AZ; one step-son, Russell Williams of Falls Bay, AK; one half-sister, Esther Riddle of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, four step grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in East Branch Cemetery.
