O. Chester Reiser

January 21, 1887 — September 7, 1972

O. Chester Reiser, 85, of Mercer, died at Greenville Hospital Thursday, September 7, 1972, after a long illness.  He formerly lived at Conneaut Lake.

He was born at Vienna, OH, on January 21, 1887, a son of Wilbur and Mary Eva Cochran Reiser.  He married Bernice Ross on January 30, 1924.  She died in 1967.  Mr. Reiser retired in 1942 from the Erie Railroad where he was employed as an engineer.  He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of Stone United Methodist Church and Charles N. Stafford American Legion Post.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Edith Neyman of Sharon; a half brother, Jesse Harpst of Albion and several nieces and nephews.  A half brother, Clifford Haprst, preceded him in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
