O. H. Palmer

December 25, 1861 — January 1, 1753

O. H. Palmer, 77, former Crawford County sheriff and well known Meadville resident, died on Sunday afternoon at his home in Meadville.

A resident of Meadville for the past 30 years, he held the sheriff's office from 1916 to 1919 and served an additional four-year term as deputy sheriff under the late Harley B. Cutshall from 1922 to 1925.

Mr. Palmer was a member of Crawford Lodge Odd Fellows and the Knights of Malta.  He was also a member of the Salamanca, NY, M. E. Church and the Men's Bible Class of the First Baptist Church in this city.

Surviving are his widow, two sons, Rev. Malcolm R. Palmer of Dunellen, NJ and B. Harvey Palmer of Rochester, NY; one daughter, Mr. E. F. Barnes of Meadville; two brothers, George Palmer of Salamanca and Frank Palmer of Scio, NY and seven grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
