Olga L. Travis

May 14, 1920 — February 11, 2006

Olga L. Travis, 85, formerly of Golfview Manor, Meadville and a resident of the Crawford County Care Center since January 2003, died there Saturday, February 11, 2006.

She was born in Clanton, AL May 14, 1920 a daughter of Felix Cornelius and Eva Cox Henley.  She married John M. Travis in September 1944 and he preceded her in death in 1993.

She was a former member of the Moose Auxiliary of Oil City and she was an avid seamstress.

Survivors, include: one son, Jack R. Travis and his wife Sandra of Meadville; one brother, Winston Henley  of Pensacola, FL; four grandchildren, Tammi Michele Golen, Melanie Beth Craft, Michael John Travis and Joseph Roger Travis; five great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Bertha Sewell, Ruth Judy and Noreen Norris and four brothers, Otis, Clyde and Leonard and Grady Henley.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.  The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Aaron Kerr, Pastor of Stone United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Park, Cranberry, PA.
