Oliver P. Dillon

Oliver P. Dillon, 77, of Conneaut Lake, died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born January 16, 1931 in Meadville a son of Oliver and Winifred Davison Dillon.  He married Mary Jane Hamilton June 30, 1951 and she survives.

He worked for Carpenter Electric and Penn Power for 44 years and owned and operated Dillon’s Econowash for 48 years.  He was a 1949 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and was an avid bowler and golfer.  He was a member of the Crawford County Bowling Hall of Fame and a life member of Conneaut Lake Park Fire Hall.

He is survived by Mary Jane, his best friend and wife of 56 years; his two beloved sons, Glenn Dillon and his wife Suzy of Conneaut Lake and Douglas Dillon and his wife Cindy of Conneaut Lake; two grandchildren, Erin Bailey and Lacee Dillon; a sister-in-law, Roma Hamilton of Conneaut Lake, three nephews and one niece.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Ramona Dillon.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Conneaut Lake Park Fire Hall, 11965 State Hwy 618, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316 or the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
