Oliver L. (Ollie) Shady

Oliver L. (Ollie) Shady, 78, of Meadville, a retired Talon employee, died Wednesday, January 30, 1991, at Meadville Medical Center where he had been a patient for three weeks.  He had been ill for three months.

He was born at Renovo, February 9, 1912, a son of Layton T. and Margaret Hibbler Shady.  He married Marian Hunter, August 5, 1950.  Shady retired in 1977 from Talon Inc. shipping department after 43 years of service.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of World War II with the US Army Air Corps in Europe from June of 1942 to March of 1946.

He is survived by his wife and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Erma Davis and Viola Coon and two brothers, Oscar and Wilbur Shady.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
