Oliver T. Brown, 62, of Meadville, died early Tuesday afternoon, July 7, 1959, while in the office of an Erie dentist. An Erie County coroner attributed death to a heart attack.
Brown was born in Richmond, VA, May 29, 1897, a son of N. F. and Rachael Townsend Brown. He married the former Florence Ross June 17, 1931.
Brown was employed as a baker at Dunn's bakery and formerly was a Prudential Insurance Agent. A member of First Baptist Church, he was secretary of its Men's Bible Class and formerly was a trustee and deacon. He recently was among several honored for 50 years' membership in the church.
Besides his widow, he is survived by three sons, David R. and Jack O. of Garden Grove, CA and Ronald M. at home; two sisters, Mrs. Leon P. (Lottie M.) Aldrich of Meadville and Mrs. Home (Bessie) Prusia of Conneaut Lake; two brothers, Howard B. of Butler and C. Harry of Meadville; and two grandsons.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
