Orry A. Hibbard

Orry A. Hibbard, 98, of Meadville, died Saturday, October 29, 1983, at North Park Manor, where he had been a patient for the past five weeks.

He was born in West Mead Township, August 4, 1885, a son of Floyd and Addie Smock Hubbard.  He married Eva Jane Mallery, March 1, 1911.  She died in September 1966.  Mr. Hibbard retired in 1954 from the maintenance department at Talon, Inc., where he had worked as a carpenter for many years.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Alanson O. Hibbard of Meadville; three daughters, Mrs. John (Thelma) Briggs of Blooming Valley, Mrs. Homer (Gertrude) Henry of Meadville and Betty Jane Sender, also of Meadville; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
