Pastor Mildred C. Mills

Pastor Mildred C. Mills, 93, formerly of Conneaut Lake and a current resident of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, Meadville died there Wednesday, April 11, 2007.

She was born in Chattanooga, TN, October 15, 1913, a daughter of the late Simon and Lillian Culver.  She married Arthur J. Mills and he preceded her in death in 1991.

She was ordained a United Methodist Minister in 1960 and was responsible for carrying out the mission of the Conneaut Lake Revival Center since 1966.  She spent many years performing missionary work through the Pentecostal and First Assembly of God Churches throughout New Mexico and Mexico.  A woman who devoted her life to serving God, she was a mother to many people who affectionately knew her as Mother Mills.

Survivors include three children, JoAnn Davis of Meadville, Sarah Correa (Pete) of Allen Park, MI and Arthur Mills (Stephanie) of Conneaut Lake; a foster daughter, Diane Reynolds of Ohio; fifteen grandchildren, Rhonda, Barb, Mike, Debbie, Rachel, Jamie, Elizabeth, Andrew, Scott, Edwin, Rodney, Linda, Josh, Jason and Tim; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward Oberg and a brother, Carl Brown.

Services were held with Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
