Patricia Anne Baker, 81, of Townville went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital, Erie.
She was born in Meadville August 14, 1937 a daughter of Clarence E. and Iva L. Reagle Smock. She married Robert A. Baker February 14, 1954 and he survives.
She attended First Baptist Church, Meadville on a regular basis and enjoyed hearing the word of the Lord. Over the years, she worked at various jobs including monitoring state run hospitals for safety and living conditions. For that work, she received official recognition from Robert P. Casey, Pennsylvania Governor at the time. She enjoyed living in the country; swimming, fishing, gardening and planting flowers. She also loved being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as much as she could. She and her husband also enjoyed vacationing, especially during the cold winter months when they would travel someplace warm for a brief get-a-way.
Survivors, in addition to her husband Robert of 64 years, include: two daughters, Linda Joan Altamoura (Robert) of State College and Cynthia Marie Baker Spangler of Bellefonte; a son, John Allen Baker (Cindy) of Bellefonte; eight grandchildren, Ryan Grühn, Brett Altamoura, Rory Spangler (Rachel), Jodie Baker, Kiley Irvin (Trevor), Andy Ellenberger, Joe Lamareux (Emily) and Justin Baker; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Eva Prenatt of Meadville, Nancy Smock of Meadville and Sylvia Exley of Conneaut Lake; two brothers, Bill Smock of Las Cruces, NM and George Smock (Linda) of Meadville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Sue Baker; a son, Daniel James Baker; a brother, Edward Smock and a sister, Mary Lou Smock.
Calling hours will be Friday, September 28th from 4-7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
The funeral service will be Saturday, September 29th at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 353 Chestnut Street, Meadville with Rev. Gerald Walton, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.
