Patricia D. (Pat) (Goodwill) Swartz

Patricia D. (Pat) Swartz, 91, of Meadville died Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Marquette Hospice House.

She was born August 10, 1929 in Franklin a daughter of Paul C. and Helena Sutherland Goodwill.

She worked as a claims supervisor in Meadville office of the PA State Employment office for 30 years retiring in 1988.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and its Love Circle.  She volunteered with the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society and the Crawford County Humane Society.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.  However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Rosko (John), Diane Kerr (John) and Melissa Bucklew (Randy) all of Meadville; a son, Richard Swartz (Maggie) of Waycross, GA; eight grandchildren, John L. Rosko (Jennie), Jennifer Barnes (Jon), John Kerr, Jr. (Ainsley), Jerrod Kerr, Nicholas Bucklew, Betty Waite (Kyle), Candie Simpson (Titus) and Randi Bucklew; ten great grandchildren, John Robert Rosko, Ana Rosko, Austin Barnes, Jackson Barnes, Addison Barnes, Rylie Waite, Kinsey Waite, Piper Kerr, Crawford Kerr and Kayla Phillips (Scott Griffith); one great great granddaughter, Harper Phillips; one brother, William Goodwill of Fort Lauderdale, FL and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Reynolds and Karen Piazza and two brothers, Richard Goodwill and Duane Goodwill who passed a couple of hours before Patricia.

Calling hours will be Friday, June 11, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.  The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Brian K. Jensen, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty Street, Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty Street or Meadville Bulldog Hockey, P.O. Box 318, all of Meadville, PA 16335.
