Paul B. Kilner, 74, of Erie, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 25, 1998, at East Pasco Memorial Center, Zephryhills, FL, while spending the winter in Florida.
He was born in Jamestown, NY, May 21, 1923, a son of Paul G. and Margaret E. Bentley Kilner. He married Donna L. Allen, June 22, 1946. She survives.
He retired in 1996 as a sales representative for Reynoldsville Casket Co. He had first worked for Erie Burial Case Co. as a sales representative and later as sales manager. He was vice president of Buffalo Casket Co., and worked in real estate sales before joining Reynoldsville Casket Co.
He graduated from Mercer public schools. He attended Grove City College and Northwestren University in Evanston, IL.
He was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre.
He was a member of Ephrim Masonic Lodge, Mercer; Zem Zem Shrine Temple, Erie; and Christ United Methodist Church, Erie.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Mrs. John (Becky) Michalak of Saegertown; a son, Mr. Jeffrey (Jeanette) Kilner of Titusville; two grandchildren, Alissa and Jeffrey Kilner of Titusville; and a sister, Joyce Boykin of Sewickley.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Kilner.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Citizens Cemetery, Mercer.
