Paul C. Goodwill, 73, of Meadville, died Saturday, January 6, 1979, at City Hospital after a sudden illness.
He was born at Franklin, August 13, 1905, a son of Arthur and Anna McDonald Goodwill. He married Helena M. Sutherland, August 14, 1926. He retired in 1970 after 30 years as a tool and die maker with Talon, Division of Textron. A member of First Presbyterian Church, he was a member of International Assn. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Local 110, and was known locally as a bowler and golfer.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Swartz and Mrs. Janice Getchell of Meadville and Mrs. Joseph (Karen) Piazza of Sharon; three sons, Richard A. of Meadville, Duane A. of Sharon and William P. of East Springfield, VA; a sister, Mrs. Raymond (Alene) Burns of Elyria, OH; a brother, Boyd of Chicago; eighteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
