Paul E. Dennis

October 30, 1934 — January 11, 2005

Paul E. Dennis, 70, of 21072 Stein Hill Road, Cochranton, died Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at Meadville Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Cochranton October 30, 1934 a son of Andy and Helen Lemish Dennis.  He married Donna Ervin who survives.

He was a 1952 graduate of Cochranton High School, served 2 years with the U. S. Army in Germany, and was employed at Talon at one time and later was a self-employed building contractor and cabinet maker. He also operated Paul’s Saw Sharpening Service.

He was a member of Mumford Chapel United Methodist Church, Cochranton, VFW Post #2006, Meadville and Cochranton Moose Lodge.

Survivors in addition to his wife include 2 daughters, Teresa Kassick, and her husband David of Easton, PA and Desiree Vittorio and her husband Jeffrey of Meadville; one son, Paul E. Dennis, Jr. and his wife Kelly of Easton, PA; 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Evelyn Graham of Hazelton, Anna Mae Miller and Dorothy Shook both of Meadville; 3 brothers, John Dennis and his wife Nikki of Raleigh, NC, Andy Dennis and his wife Shirley of Erie, and Charles Dennis of Cochranton.

He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Helen, Mary, and Ruth Dennis and 2 brothers, Frank and Raymond Dennis.

Calling hours will be today (Wednesday) from 7-9 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Russell Hines, pastor of Mumford Chapel United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Rocky Glen Cemetery, Adamsville.
