Paul E. Morris, 81, of Clarendon, died at Warren General Hospital Saturday, November 24, 1979.
He was born in Elizabeth, WV, November 22, 1898, son of Charles J. and Winona Barnes Morris. He married Kay I. Benning December 31, 1924.
Morris formerly was the owner-operator of Morris' Store in Richmond Township, selling the business in 1964 when he moved to Clarendon. He and his wife were custodians at the Crawford County Courthouse for several years.
Morris was a member of the North Richmond United Methodist Church and a veteran of the US Army, Company B, during World War I, serving in Europe. He was a member of the Societe Des Fismes and a former member of the American Legion Charles Stafford Post 111.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Frank E. of Columbus, OH; a sister, Mrs. Sheldon (Ethyl) Bramer; a brother, Harley of Meadville; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in North Richmond Cemetery.
