Paul H. Whistler, 77, of Meadville, died Sunday, February 25, 1990, at Meadville Medical Center following a period of failing health.
He was born in Meadville, July 10, 1912, a son of Isaac and Elizabeth Schreck Whistler. He married Bardara Cease in 1950. She survives.
He was employed as a furniture deliverer by the former John J. Shyrock Co. for 30 years. He was subsequently employed by Morco, Inc., Cochranton, for several years.
He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Fred Whistler of Erie; a half-sister, Hazel Zeitler of Meadville; two sisters, Ruth Krasa of Meadville and Mildred Wood of Geneva; two brothers, Clarence Whsitler of Meadville and Charles Whistler of Meadville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Homer and Roy Whistler; four sisters, Florence Whistler, Margaret Hollabaugh, Marie Prenatt and Geraldine Wolff and a half-sister, Pearl Reisinger.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Brookhouser Cemetery, Hayfield Township.
