Paul J. Bourgeois, Sr., 90, of Frenchtown, died Tuesday, May 22, 1956, at his home after a long illness.
A native of France, he was a cheesemaker and came to this area in 1884 at the age of 18. His wife, the former Lena Nageotte, died September 12, 1931.
He was a member of St. Hippolyte's Roman Catholic Church and Kiser Hill-Mead Grange.
Survivors are two sons, Roy J., at home, and Paul J. Bourgeois, Jr. of Meadville; three daughters, Mrs. Zoe Jackard at home, Mrs. Leona Roschi of Meadville and Mrs. Adele Gordon of Saegertown; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several relatives in France.
Services were held at St. Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church.
Interment was in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
