Paul R. Holabaugh

Paul R. Holabaugh, 79 of Hayfield Township, Meadville, passed away on August 23, 2022 at Edinboro Manor.

Paul was born in Geneva, PA on December 3, 1942 to the late Floyd and Katherine (Brooks) Holabaugh.  He was a graduate of Conneaut Valley High School and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army.  Paul worked construction for many years for Walker Construction then owned and operated his own lawn care business.

Paul was a lifetime member of the Veterans of the Vietnam War Post #52.  H was a collector of antique canning jars and enjoyed attending many canning trade shows.  He also participated in the Charity Follies for several years.  In his younger years he hiked the Appalachian Trail and was the fastest in his age group to do so at the time.  Paul also enjoyed skiing, ice skating, and sky diving.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them dearly.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Paula Holabaugh Steudler of Saegertown; grandchildren, Colton Paul, Laurel Elizabeth, and Eric Casper Steudler, all of Saegertown; sister, Holly Holabaugh of Conneautville; dear friend, Roy; dear friends at Post #52; and his cat, Boo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends will be received Monday, August 29th from 4-7 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Cliff Forbes officiating.

Interment will follow in Denny Cemetery where Military Honors will be rendered by Veterans of the Vietnam War Post #52.
