Paul S. Jack, 90, of Meadville, died Wednesday, February 8, 1995, at Rolling Fields Nursing Home in Conneautville following an extended illness.
He was born in Kittanning, March 31, 1904, a son of William P. and Nina Campbell Jack. He married Kathryn Booher. She survives.
He had an undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a graduate degree from Pitt's School of Pharmacy.
He owned and operated Jack's Pharmacy for many years in downtown Meadville, which he purchased in 1954. The store itself dates back to 1891. He received a plaque in 1960 in recognition of the store's one millionth prescription. He previously was a pharmacist at Wirt's Drug Store in Meadville.
He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Barbara Moon of Meadville; a son, William Jack of Mount Pleasant, SC; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred, Edith and Martha.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
