Paul V. Dingle, 74, of Meadville, died Monday, November 14, 1977, at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Erie, where he had been a patient for one month.
He was born at Clough Mills, Forest County, June 2, 1903, a son of Jacob B. and Mary E. Williams Dingle. He married Ada Smith Clayton, April 10, 1943. He retired from the former FMC Corp. spinning department in 1965. He was associated with First Christian Church and was a veteran of World War II, having served with the US Army.
Survivors include two sons, James of Elk River, Minn. and Donald of Meadville; two stepsons, Richard Clayton of Guys Mills and Donald Clayton of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Helen Harfman of Minneapolis, Min.; a brother-in-law, Francis Forbes of Meadville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
