Paul W. Smith, 80, of Meadville, a former FMC worker, died Tuesday, September 28, 1993, at Meadville Medical Center following a short illness.
He was born in Pittsburgh, November 13, 1912, a son of Winfield and Bertha Kress Smith. He married Dorothy Danforth, January 27, 1948. She survives.
He retired in 1977 from FMC Corp. as foreman of plant utilities in the power department after 27 years of service. He previously worked at Talon Inc. for 11 years. He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church. He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church. He was a World War II veteran, having served with the US Army Battery C. 313th Field Artillery Battalion in the Battle of the Bulge and other battles.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Marilyn) Drumm of Greenville, SC; a granddaughter and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Kenneth Smith.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
