Paulette Breese, 80 of Carlton, passed away on September 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Mercer on May 18, 1942 to the late Paul Bowers and Gladys Flickinger. She was a 1960 graduate of Lakeview High School and worked at Knolls in Sandy Lake and Grantham’s Landing. She also volunteered as an election official for French Creek Twp.
While working at Knolls in Sandy Lake she met the love of her life, James B. Breese. The couple married on December 28, 1962. James passed away 2 weeks’ shy of their 58th anniversary on December 14, 2020.
Paulette loved bowling in her earlier years, belonging to a women’s league and a couples league with her late husband. She was a very talented bowler, completing a 600 series. She was a devoted wife and mother and her family was her world. She always enjoyed traveling to see her family when they lived far away or out of state. Paulette will be remembered as a very sweet woman who was also very strong.
Paulette is survived by her children; Gregg Breese of Carlton and Greta Breese of Beaver Falls, close brother-in-law Thomas Breese, as well as many other brothers and sisters-in-law.
In addition to her parents and husband of 58 years, Paulette was preceded in death by her dear cousin, Nancy Shepard.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake.
Funeral services will be private.
Interment will take place in New Lebanon Cemetery
