Pauline E. Kebert, 86, of Meadville, died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Meadville Medical Center.
She was born in Union Township, Crawford County August 20, 1921, a daughter of the late Wallace and Irene Reitze Thatcher. She married Paul V. Kebert February 21, 1942 and he preceded her in death February 3, 1991.
She was a graduate of Meadville High School and the Meadville Commercial College. She was a homemaker and had worked as an office secretary for the former Yost and Lang Auto Agency.
A very active member of Stone United Methodist Church and its Marriott Class, she was a member of the Meadville Country Club, Iroquois Club, and was a former member and past officer of the Mead Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed ceramics and loved golfing and cooking and had many well regarded recipes.
Survivors include a son, Larry G. Kebert and his companion Valerie Roda of Conneaut Lake; 3 granddaughters, Leslie Hemric and her husband Rodney of Greensboro, NC; Laura Abbondanza and her husband Mike of Charlotte, NC; and Jennifer Kebert of California; and 3 great-granddaughters, Natalie, Loren, and Alyssa. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Bernice Peterson and Virginia Palka; and a nephew, Dwight Peterson.
Private viewing and graveside committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
A memorial service will be Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at Stone United Methodist Church, 956 S. Main St., Meadville with the Rev. John Spahr, Pastor officiating.
