Pauline M. (Peggy) Gregg, 88, formerly of Meadville and a resident of Rolling Fields went to be with her Lord, Saturday, February 3, 2018. She was born June 6, 1929 in Sharon, PA a daughter of Ernst Elmer Carlson and Mary W. Shaffer Carlson Fike. She married David C. Gregg and he preceded her in death in 1999. She subsequently married Dale H. Olin and he preceded her in death in 2005. She was a graduate of Sharon High School and the Spencer Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at the former Spencer Hospital then Meadville Medical Center for 37 years, retiring as a surgical nurse in 1991. In her retirement, she worked part-time at the former Grist Mill Restaurant in the Meadville Market House. She was a member of New Beginnings Church of God, Greenville Elks Lodge #145 Ladies Auxiliary, Vernon Central Hose Co. Auxiliary, Golden Crown Chapter #44 Order of Easter Star, Watson Run Womens Club, the Red Hat Society, El Kadir Grotto of Ashtabula, OH and Crimestoppers. She was also a member of the Hayfield, Pomona and Vernon Granges. She was well known for Greggs Hot Sausage Hut at the Crawford County Fair, where she enjoyed the social time making many friendships over the years. She enjoyed crafting, baking, being with family and visiting with friends. She is survived by five grandchildren, Krista Petruso and her husband Sam of Conneaut Lake, Jerry Gregg, Brittney Gregg and Cassie Gregg all of Lakeland, FL and Joshua Gregg of Dallas, TX; five great grandchildren including Karissa and Sam Petruso of Conneaut Lake and Marquis Gregg in Florida; three great great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Hayes of Norwalk, OH; two daughters-in-law, Terri Gregg of Lakeland, FL and Christine Gregg Calabrese and her husband Patrick (Guido) of Meadville; her special adoptive daughter, Susan Hamilton and her husband Bob of Fairview; her special friend at Rolling Fields, Mike Batcha and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence L. Gregg; two brothers, Leroy and William Carlson; a sister, Gloria Payne; her step-father, Robert Fike and a step-brother, Robert Fike. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Rolling Fields for the wonderful care given to Peggy. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Road, Meadville with Rev. Temple Jarrell, officiating. Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Pymatuning 4-H Club, 12017 N.
