Pauline M. Osborn

Pauline Marie Osborn, 81, of P.O. Box 265, Conneaut Lake passed away at home Saturday, December 26, 2009.

Pauline was born in Adamsville, PA on March 3, 1928 a daughter of the late Clarence (Dutch) and Grayce Plyler Nottingham.

She graduated from East Fallowfield High School in 1946 and was salutatorian of her class.  On September 15, 1946 Pauline married Leo C. Osborn.  They were happily married for 63 years.  She was of the Protestant faith.

Pauline worked for ten years (1968-1978) at the Conneaut Lake office of Integra Bank now Marquette Savings Bank.  Most of her life she was a stay at home mom but always kept busy.  She enjoyed working and creating beautiful flower gardens and kept her lawn manicured.  She also had a passion for antiques and refinished many pieces that will remain in the family forever.

She will also be remembered for her king and generous heart.  She was a good listener and could always be counted on for good advice and a good shoulder to lean on.  Pauline was especially fond of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a very creative individual and an excellent writer.  She would write little poems to her grandchildren when they were in college.

She will be sadly missed by her family.  Survivors in addition to her husband Leo, include: a daughter, Elaine Harrison and her husband David; two sons, Don Osborn and his wife Rhonda and Rich Osborn and his special friend Carol Mullen all of Conneaut Lake; four grandchildren, Todd Harrison and his wife Kristina, Krista Longoria and her husband Marco and Whitney and Casey Osborn; four great grandchildren, Morgan and Kara Harrison and McKenna and Matthew Longoria; two sisters, Betty Nieman of Greenville and Eleanor Davis of Adamsville and many nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by special family friends, Ruth and Jim Jezak of Conneaut Lake.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Loring (Sonny) Nottingham.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.

The funeral and committal service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Russell Hines, officiating.

Private family burial will be in Rocky Glen Cemetery.
