Pauline M. Thompson

Pauline M. Thompson, 91, formerly of Conneaut Lake, died Tuesday, August 8, 2006, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.

She was born October 27, 1914, in McClellantown, Fayette County, a daughter of the late Fred W. and Elizabeth Dugan Miller.  She married Henry Foust Thompson April 18, 1932.  He preceded her in death December 20, 2000.

She worked as a cook for many years in the Conneaut Lake area.

She was a former member of Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842, the Daughters of Union Veterans and the Summit Township Senior Center.  She was a founding member of the Conneaut Lake Park Volunteer Fire Department Aux., and  enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, dancing and was known for growing and selling garlic.

Survivors include two daughters, Nyla Balint (Michael) of Ashtabula, OH and Susan Walter (Jack) of Meadville; a granddaughter, Michele Ann Brammer (Brad) of Sunberry, OH; two great-grandchildren, Ekatrina and Andre and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Henry M. Thompson; six brothers, Fred, Robert, Meyer, Earl, John and William Miller and a sister, Sarah Vanderglas.

Services were held with the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Foust Cemetery.
