Pauline M. Waltenbaugh

July 9, 1915 — April 2, 1997

Pauline m. Waltenbaugh, 81, of Meadville, died at Wesbury United Methodist Community, Wednesday, April 2, 1997, following a period of declining health.

She was born in Guys Mills, July 9, 1915, a daughter of John C. and Hazel Gage Graham.  She married Charles M. Waltenbaugh, April 20, 1935.  He survives.

She was a 1933 graduate of Meadville High School, a 1935 graduate of Meadville Commercial College and a graduate of the Meadville Conservatory of Music in piano and voice.  She worked as the office secretary at Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance in Meadville first for her father and later for her husband.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Crawford County Historical Scoiety, YWCA, Meadville Garden Club, Advisory Board of the Crawford County Office of Aging, a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and she was the charter Secretary and past President of the AARP #2442.  Mrs. Waltenbaugh had also served as church organist at Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church for several years.

Survivors in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Betty) P. Hart of Grove City; two grandchildren, Jeff Hart of Cranberry Township and Sally Cline of Cincinnati and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Edward J. Waltenbaugh.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
