Mrs. Pearl Johnston, 80, formerly of Meadville, died after an extended illness Thursday, March 14, 1968, at the Conneautville Nursing Home where she had been a patient for the past year.
She was born March 7, 1888, in Hartstown, a daughter of James and Anna McVickers Hofias. She married Thurman W. Johnston in 1907. He died in 1949.
She was a housewife, a member of Beattys Corners United Presbyterian Church and Vernon Grange.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. I. J. (A Ellen) LoBue; two sons, Patterson and Earl, all of Meadville; and ten grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Denny Cemetery.
