Peggy Ann Wilkinson, 58, of Meadville, died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at St. Paul Homes, Greenville.
She was born in Meadville November 10, 1952, a daughter of John E. and Shirley Miller Wilkinson, Jr.
Peggy was a 1970 graduate of Meadville High School and a 1974 graduate of the Crawford County Vocational-Technical School Licensed Practical Nursing program. She was employed at the former Meadville City Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Peggy was an active member of Watson Run Presbyterian Church where she served as clerk of sessions, was an elder, Sunday School teacher, and secretary. Additionally, she enjoyed sharing her love of music as a soloist, pianist, organist and choir director. She enjoyed collecting Boyd's Teddy Bears, baking, cake decorating, and making beaded ornaments.
Survivors include her parents, John and Shirley Wilkinson, Jr. of Meadville; a sister, Karen Crowther and her husband Robert of Guys Mills; three brothers, John E. Wilkinson, III and his wife Nancy, David Bret Wilkinson and his wife Eileen, and Bart L. Wilkinson, all of Meadville; a sister-in-law, Shari Wilkinson of Meadville; nine nephews and one niece, Steven and Michael Crowther, Jennifer Porter, and Ryan, Nathan, Garrett, Christopher, Justin, Matthew, and Joshua Wilkinson; and ten great-nieces and great-nephews, Ashley, Robbie, Olivia, Andrew, Shayna, Nicholas, Kyle, Riley, Reese, and Shawn. She was especially close with her niece, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Watson Run Presbyterian Church, 13594 Harmonsburg Rd., Meadville.
The funeral and committal service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Watson Run Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Frank Duncan and Pastor Dan McEldowney, co-officiating.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
