Peggy E. Wolff

Peggy E. Wolff, 79, widow of Ronald F. Wolff and formerly of 571 Chestnut Street and a resident of Hillside Home, died Friday, May 21, 2010 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

She was born in Tappan, Ohio January 26, 1931 a daughter of Vail and Ola Freeburn Pittis.  In 1935 she moved to Massillon, OH.  She graduated from Massillon High School in 1949 and Kent State University in 1953.  She married Ronald F. Wolff August 14, 1954 and he preceded her in death September 20, 1986.

Peggy worked at the Wolff's store in Meadville, selling toys at Christmas and in other departments of the store when needed.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Meadville.  She was very active in the Meadville Woman's Club and was President of the club for two terms (2004-2008).  She was also a member of the Meadville Woman's Club Garden Division and the VFW Post #2006 Ladies Auxiliary.  She served on the board of directors of Hillside Home and Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Survivors, include: a son, Bradley D. Wolff and his wife Sally of Fairport, NY; two daughters, Lexie Bauer and her husband Charles of Cambridge Springs and Pamela Slomiany and her husband Paul of Venetia, PA and seven grandchildren, Abbey Wolff, Dorian Wolff, Hailey Wolff, Kirstie Bauer, Kami Bauer, Marc Slomiany and Kristen Slomiany.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Raines.

Cremation will take place and no services are planned.

The family suggests memorials be made to Wesbury Hillside Home, 535 Williamson Road, Meadville, PA 16335 or a charity of the donor's choice.
