Pennie Lou Conrad

Pennie Lou Conrad, 74, of Meadville, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born January 24, 1947 in Meadville, a daughter of Frank T. and G. Audene Crawford Swavey.  She married Gary E. Conrad August 21, 1971 and he preceded her in death June 12, 2019.

Pennie worked as a waitress at Ricci’s Restaurant and Sandalini’s Restaurant.  She enjoyed crafting and cooking, was active at her church and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

Pennie attended The Epiphany of the Lord Parish.

Survivors include a son, Chad Conrad (Christi) of Cary, NC; a daughter, Lori Yokeley (Frank) of Stokesdale, NC; a daughter-in-law, Carey Conrad of Meadville; nine grandchildren, Caitlyn, CJ, Calsey, Cameron, and Carleigh Conrad and Jada, Robert, Michael, and Joshua Yokeley; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Corey Edward Conrad; a daughter, Kim Haynes; a sister, Helen Jeannerette; and three brothers, Bernard, Russell, and Richard Swavey.

Family and friends will be received Friday, December 10th from 12-2 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where a memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Jeffrey Lucas officiating.

Interment will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
