Peter Stave Lake, 36, of Meadville, died Saturday, January 21, 1989, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following an extended illness.
He was born in Meadville, August 11, 1952, a son of John E. and Ruth L. Irwin Lake.
He was employed as a machinist for Form Tool and Mold of Saegertown. He formerly worked for Greenleaf Corp. in Saegertown. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the Meadville public schools. He served one enlistment in the US Army, part of which was in Korea. He was a member of Meadville Pistol Club, Meadville Sportsman's Club, National Rifle Assn., Elk Lodge 219, Meadville; and West Mead 2 VFD. He was a certified hunter safety instructor for the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
Survivors include a maternal grandmother, Goldie M. Dougherty of Meadville; his parents of Saegertown; a sister, Cynthia L. Zelasko of Meadville; two brothers, John C. Lake and Eric I. Lake, both of Saegertown; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
