Pfc. Robert Dale Parsons

November 4, 1950 — January 1, 1753

Pfc. Robert Dale Parsons was accidentally shot and killed at Fort Clayton, Panama Canal Zone, Saturday.  No details of the fatal accident were immediately revealed by the Army.  Parsons had been serving with the Army's security detachment.

He enlisted in June 1968, after attending Meadville Area Senior High School.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George R. Parsons of Meadville; a sister and two brothers, Mrs. Dorothy Neuroth of Littles Corners, George Parsons of Beuna Park, CA and Harry J. Parsons of Conneaut Lake and a half-sister, Tammy Bczezinski of Sharon.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
