Philip Joseph Cunningham, 87, of Wesley Way, Meadville and formerly of Guys Mills, died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.
He was born February 22, 1924 in Pittsburgh, a son of Edmund John and Colleta M. Schneider Cunningham. He married Edith Taylor June 7, 1969.
Philip worked as a truck driver for Dad's Product's, Inc. for 29 years, retiring in 1984.
A member of St. Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church, he enjoyed hunting, gardening, and traveling by motor home.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Edith of 42 years, include two sisters, Colleta Mitcham and her husband Donald of Cochranton and Edith Braymer of Conneaut Lake; four nieces; one nephew; and great-nieces and nephew; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edmund Cunningham.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral and committal service will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr.
Raymond Gramata of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
