Phillip Beldon Herendeen

December 15, 1920 — May 11, 1990

Phillip Beldon Herendeen, 69, of Meadville, died suddenly Friday, May 11, 1990, at his home.

He was born in Painesville, OH, December 15, 1920, a son of Edward and Anne T. Herendeen Dockry.  He married Patricia Raybuck Ross on February 27, 1982.  She survives.

He had been employed by the maintenance department of Allegheny College.  He had previously been employed by Pat and Pete's Mobile Homes Sales in Meadville and Sahara Mobile Homes of Ohio.

He was a US Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater of operations.  He was also a member of the Plumbers Union Local 55 of Cleveland, OH.  He was affiliated with First Christian Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife, include three sons, Steven Herendeen of Jacksonville, FL, Stanley Herendeen of Chillicothe, OH and Christopher Herendeen of Conneautville; a daughter, Susan Herendeen of Jacksonville, FL; three step-daughters, Debbie Wood of Jacksonville, FL, Sheryl Manuel of Meadville and Debbie Ross of Marietta, GA; a step-son, David Ross of Meadville; his mother of Painesville, OH; a half-brother, Daniel E. Dockry of Mentor, OH; a half-sister, Florence A. Dockry of Zephyr Hills, FL; six grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Herendeen.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment of cremated remains was in Greendale Cemetery.
