Phillip G. Tingley, 60 of Cortland, Ohio, formerly of Stoneboro, went to be in the loving arms of his Savior on January 20, 2022 at Trumbull Regional Medical Center. Phil was born in Meadville on November 17, 1961 to Floyd and Donna (Stalker) Tingley. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Grove City College. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Trialon Corporation.
Phil was a member of the Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church in Greenville and loved to serve the Lord. He enjoyed being outdoors, kayaking and bicycling. He was a talented writer, writing many plays and published works. He was a handyman who could fix and build almost anything. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Phil was married to his beloved wife, Amy L (Scott) Tingley on November 28, 1987, she survives at home.
In addition to his wife and parents, Phil is survived by his son; Ethan (Bree) Tingley of Grove City, brothers; David (Jennifer) Tingley of Lexington, VA, Thomas (Joette) Tingley of Stoneboro, and Steven (Mary) Tingley of Stoneboro, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Stoneboro & Sandy Lake.
Visitation will take place at Crossroads Christian Fellowship, 805 Vernon Road, Greenville, from 10 am – 11 am on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. A service will follow visitation at 11 am at the church. Masks will be required at the church. The service will be streamed on the church’s Youtube Page.
Private interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
