Phylle M. Hastings

Phylle M. Hastings, 89, of Meadville, died of Pneumonia November 3, 2020.

She was born December 27, 1930 in Meadville, a daughter of Nicholas and Susan Petrenchik Boyle.  She married Rev. Lewis S. Hastings September 1, 1949 and he preceded her in death January 27, 2010.

Phylle graduated from Meadville High School, Boston University with a Bachelor’s degree and subsequently received a Master’s degree in education.  She taught 2nd grade in the Pittsburgh and Baldwin Whitehall area schools.

Survivors include two children, Holly Hastings (Troy Deck) of Ambler and L. Stewart Hastings of Cleveland, OH; a sister, Elaine Beard; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services are private with burial in Greendale Cemetery.
