Phyllis A. Thomas, 81, of Meadville, died Tuesday, June 23, 1987, at Meadville Medical Center following an illness of several years.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Union City, March 30, 1906, a daughter of Carl and Mina Perkins Flaugh, She married Deones L. Thomas June 30, 1934. He survives.
She had been a school teacher in Conneautville schools. She also had taught several years at Living Waters Christian School. She also had been a Sunday School and vacation Bible School teacher at several area churches. She attended Lyona Bible Church. She was a graduate of the former Edinboro State Normal School.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one sister, Mrs. George (Winona) Bradley of Dunedin, FL; four brothers, Kenneth Flaugh of Union City, Winton Flaugh of Guys Mills, Max Flaugh of Connersville and Willard Flaugh of Johnson City, TN and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, C. Meryl Thomas.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Peters Cemetery.
