Preston H. Brooks

Preston H. Brooks, 64, of Meadville, died Wednesday, May 13, 1981, at City Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born in Geneva, Greenwood Township, on March 16, 1917, a son of Henry and Mary Grace Brooks.  He married Marian Huson on March 25, 1940.

He was employed for four years as roadmaster for Vernon Township and took disability retirement from that job several years ago.  Formerly he had been employed for more than 20 years as a foreman for Keystone Construction Co.

He was a US Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Mrs. Beth Huber of Cape May, NJ, Mrs. Theodore (Phyllis) Feltenberger of Meadville and Mrs. Stephen (Diane) Singer of Meadville; a son, William Brooks of Cochranton; several nieces and nephews; and 10 grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
