R. Vicar Mccallum

May 13, 1878 — January 1, 1753

R. Vicar McCallum, 70, a resident of Meadville for a number of years, died suddenly Wednesday evening at a hospital in Daytona Beach, FL.

He had lived in that city for that past few years.

Mr. McCallum was born in Scotland, and had resided in both Ireland and England before coming to the US in 1926.  He lived at Schnectady, NY for a time, coming to Meadville in 1927.  He was a tool and die maker for Talon for 17 years and directed several choirs of local churches.  He resided in Dallas, TX, also, during the past two decades.

Mr. McCallum was a member of the BPO Elks, the Masonic Fraternity and of the First Presbyterian Church in Meadville.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ann Gray and Mrs. Kenneth W. George, both of Meadville; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Percy Hall of Schnectady, NY; and by several brothers and sisters in the British Isles.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Denny Cemetery.
