Rachel Ribb

December 18, 1891 — January 17, 1980

Rachel Ribb, 88, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Meadville, widow of Lewis Ribb, died at Cape Coral Nursing Pavilion Thursday, January 17, 1980, following a short illness.

She was born in Tidioute, December 18, 1891, a daughter of Frank and Mary Smith DuPlain.  She married Ribb December 25, 1912 and he died in 1940.

Mrs. Ribb worked for several years doing clothing alterations for a number of stores in Meadville.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cape Coral and was past matron of the Rebekah Lodge of Meadville.

Mrs. Ribb is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Loptien and Mrs. Joan Culbertson of Cape Coral, Mrs. Frances Dempsey of Meadville and Mrs. Mary Bruce of Pasadena, CA; three sons, Frank of Buffalo, Bruce of Baltimore and Lewis of Titusville; a sister, Mrs. Isabelle Burton of Philadelphia; twenty-one grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sons and two daughters.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kingsley Cemetery.
