Rae M. Byham, 81, of Guys Mills, died at Spencer Hospital Friday, November 19, 1976, after an illness of two weeks.
Born in Randolph Township on May 28, 1895, he was a son of Clifton and Mary Jane Morrison Byham. He married Ruth Oakes on December 15, 1915. Mr. Byham was a self-employed saw mill operator and farmer in Randolph Township. He attended Pennsylvania State University and served 26 years as a Republican Committeeman for Randolph Township. He was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Clair (Marjorie) Burchard of Meadville; three sons, Kenneth O. of Sebring, OH, Howard R. of Guys Mills and Ralph A. of Franklin; one brother, Charles D. of Cuba, NY; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Dan Byham.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
