His parents were Ralph and Ethel Canon Drew who proceeded him in death. Others who passed before him were his brother-in-law Jay Ebbert and his nephew Owen Mitchell.
Ralph is survived by his companion of 32 years Linda Ryhal and his son Paul born to Ralph and Judy Ward Drew. He is also survived by his brothers Arthur and his wife Cheryl; Charles and his wife Judy, and his sisters Darlene Ebbert and Mary Mitchell with her husband Noel.
He graduated from Reynolds High School. He was a veteran having served in the US Air Force from 1964-1967. He was stationed in Bitburg, Germany.
Ralph graduated from barber school in Erie and for years often worked with his brother Charles at his business in Stoneboro, Pa. Ralph was known as "Razor Ralph" and his brother as "Chop-Chop Charlie".
Later he worked as a factory warranty worker for Astro in Shippenville. He traveled throughout the New England states in his job.
He loved deer hunting and fishing. In recent years he spent the winters in South Carolina where he fished, very successfully, for crappies.
Ralph was a creative, skilled and artistic craftsman. By observation he could draw up plans and make almost anything displaying great talent. Examples include a hand carving from seasoned oak that was a real work of art; further he made two slider rocking chairs from his observation of a similar chair in South Carolina. Starting with a basic tree trunk he made the chairs completely by hand. They became his favorite chairs! Recently he made a metal hinge perfectly matching ones from the 1800's.
