Ralph E. Dershimer

Ralph E. Dershimer, 84, formerly of Erie, a resident of the United Methodist Home and Nursing Home and Hospital since May 1969, died at the United Methodist Nursing Hospital Saturday, August 21, 1976, after a long illness.

He was born in Beaver Falls January 18, 1892, son of Presley and Elizabeth Henshaw Dershimer.  He married Goldie Hinchcliff in 1914.  She died in 1966.

Mr. Dershimer was a retired employee of General Electric Co. in Erie.  He was a member for more than 50 years of Cascade United Methodist Church, Erie, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Beaver Falls.

Survivors include two sons, Richard of Fremont, CA and Robert of Tucson, AZ and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
