Ralph R. Beers

Ralph R. Beers, 79, of Conneaut Lake, died Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital.

He was born November 11, 1941 in Eldred Township, Warren County, a son of Marion and Mary Earles Beers.  He married Bonnie L. Taylor October 16, 1971 and she preceded him in death July 2, 2010.

Ralph was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966.  He worked at Channellock for 35 years, retiring in 2001.

Ralph was an active member of Reash Community Church, served on the board of directors, and was extremely instrumental in completing the church’s new building.  He enjoyed the outdoors, walking and taking bus trips with his church.  He especially loved spending time and participating in the lives of his grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, April Sabo (Jack) of Conneaut, OH; three grandchildren, Jacob, Alivia, and Joshua Sabo; one brother, Paul Beers of Linesville; two sisters, Beverly Sayre (William) of Mesa, AZ, and Ruth Beers of Plainville, CT; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Gertrude Hatton, Mary Williams, and an infant Eleanor Beers; and two brothers, Kenneth and Howard Beers.

Calling hours will be Saturday, October 16th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUINERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Randy Keeling, Pastor of Reash Community Church, officiating.  Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 2006.

Ralph will be laid to rest next to his wife Bonnie at Foust Cemetery.
