Ray Douglas, 78, of Woodcock Township, died at Spencer Hospital Thursday, February 24, 1972, where he had been a patient since last Saturday.
He was born at Union City on September 13, 1893, a son of Ruric and Lilly Hites Douglas. He married Lois Barnett on October 14, 1914. Mr. Douglas retired in 1953 after 35 years as a boilermaker for the former Erie Railroad, Co. He was a member of First Christian Church.
Surviving are his widow; a son, Lawrence of Cambridge Springs; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Smith of Meadville; three grandchildren, Mrs. Jack (Beverly) Nutter of Meadville, Carl and Ruric J. Douglas, both of Cambridge Springs; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
