Ray L. Klingensmith

July 1, 1900 — January 1, 1753

Ray L. Klingensmith, 52, of Meadville, well known retired businessman, died suddenly of a heart attack yesterday at the home of a sister, Mrs. Arthur L. Lehman of Meadville.

He was born in Greenwood Township and had spent most of his life in this area.

He was graduated from Meadville High School and Allegheny College with the Class of 1923.  After a year's teaching at Munhall, he became affiliated with Harris-Forbes, a Pittsburgh bonding house.  He continued in the investment business, except for a period with the Prudential Life Insurance Co. here, until he retired in 1938 because of a heart ailment.

Mr. Klingensmith was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Men's Class of the church, Allehgeny College chapter of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and Lodge 408, F and AM, of which he was a past master.

He and his wife had planned to leave today to spend the winter in Florida.

Besides his widow, Helen, and Mrs. Lehman, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. H. W. Klingensmith of Meadville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
