Ray Scott Walters, Jr.

September 24, 1986 — May 5, 2011

Ray Scott Walters, Jr., 24, of Meadville died Thursday, May 5, 2011 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born in Meadville September 24, 1986 a son of Ray Scott and Lori Farnham Walters, Sr.  He married Karen R. Martin September 18, 2010 and she survives.

He has worked for the past four and a half years as an EDM operator at Imperial Carbide.  He was a 2005 graduate of Saegertown High School and the machine shop program at the Crawford County Vo-Tech School.  He attended United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills and he enjoyed go-cart racing, NASCAR, hunting, motorcycles and he loved animals.

Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Karen, include: a son, Ray James Walters (expected in September); his mother, Lori Walters of Meadville; his father, Ray S. Walters, Sr. and his wife Laura of Meadville; a sister, Alecia Palmer and her husband Jay of Townville; his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Turner and her husband James of Jackson Center; his paternal grandmother, Lois Hummer and her husband Evan of Centerville; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, James and Janice Martin of Meadville; a sister-in-law, Kimberley Coddington and her husband Rev. Dave of Saegertown and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Farnham and his paternal grandfather, Ray A. Walters, Jr.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.  The funeral and committal service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dave Coddington, Pastor of United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
