Raymond E. Graham, Sr., 73, of Meadville, a Job Service supervisor, died Wednesday, August 5, 1992, at Meadville Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born in Mercer, April 4, 1919, a son of Major J. and Clara May Shuler Graham. He married Wanda Jane Wright, July 20, 1944. She preceded him in death July 30, 1992.
He retired in 1977 as a supervisor for the employment service of the PA Job Service Center, Meadville. He was was World War II veteran, having served with the US Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater. He retired in 1967 as a retired master sergeant from the US Air Force Reserve 910th Troop Carrier Group, Youngstown, OH. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Elks Lodge 219, both of Meadville; the Crawford Amateur Radio Society; the PA Retired State Employees Assn.; and a member and former officer of the Quarter Century Wireless Assn.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond E. Graham, Jr. of Saegertown and Rodger S. Graham of Meadville; two sisters, Janice Baker of Mercer and Rebecca Schloop of Glenfield, NY; two brothers, Major Graham of Parma, OH and David Graham of Mercer; five grandchildren; one step-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
