Raymond "Ray" Lee Cogswell

Raymond “Ray” Lee Cogswell, 70 of Millcreek Twp, Sandy Lake, passed away on November 25, 2020 at AHN-Grove City. Ray was born in Ashtabula, OH, on February 10, 1950 to the late Clarence Everett Cogswell and Laura Thacker McCamey. Ray worked for many years as a truck driver as well as ran his own butcher shop for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed raising chickens, turkeys, and ducks, as well as several other farm animals. In his earlier years he enjoyed spending time with his family and taking them to horse shows. He enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and siblings, and loved his many dogs over the years, especially his dog Maddie and his late dog, Tucker. Ray married his beloved wife, Linda Guthrie Cogswell, on November 10, 1979, she survives at home. In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by his children, Tom Cogswell and wife Gail of Greenville, Charles Milliren and wife Amy of Stoneboro, Raymond Cogswell and wife Debbie of Polk, John “Gink” Milliren of Polk, and Craig Milliren and companion Kristyn of Sandy Lake, grandchildren T.J., Kayla “Toots”, Alyson “Punkin”, Trent, Sean, Haley, John, Marissa, Adam, Austin, Erika, and Hayden, seven great-grandchildren, siblings Chester, Dan, Roy, Lonnie, Johnny, Ralph, Jimmy, Ed Cogswell, Keith McCamey, Marie Shaw, Rachel Baker, and Polly Hale, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Lee Cogswell, and half-sister Helen. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of SANDY LAKE, 3236 S. Main Street, where family and friends are welcome from 1-3 & 5-7 on Tuesday, December 1. A funeral service will follow visitation at 7 pm with Pastor Dana Crocker, officiating.
